We have an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Syfy’s horror-comedy series Reginald the Vampire. Featuring Spider-Man franchise star Jacob Batalon as the titular bloodsucker, the series also stars Savannah Basley (SurrealEstate) as Angela Hibbert, an ancient, powerful vampire who lives in a home that’s very fitting of her character. Our exclusive video gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at Angela’s mansion with Basley personally giving a tour through the set. Watch the footage below.
“Come take a look at my vampiric house,” Basley says, guiding viewers from one room to the next while pointing out how they were featured in Angela’s most memorable scenes.
Basley also explores her most favorite room, which is the area that serves as “all of the things” for Angela — living room, bedroom, and office. From the stained-glass windows to the bedazzled panther Pandora, Basley goes through how much she appreciates each part of the set. That includes the large fireplace that essentially serves as the centerpiece of the room.
“This thing is massive. It’s so huge,” Basley says. “They built this from scratch into this amazing room. This was probably the room that really got me into character. Set dec did a really amazing job at making everything look like Angela’s collected a lot of things through the years.”
Reginald the Vampire Isn’t Your Typical Vampire Series
Along with Batalon as Reginald Andres and Basley as Angela Hibbert, Reginald the Vampire stars Mandela Van Peebles as Maurice Miller, Em Haine as Sarah Kinney, Aren Buchholz as Todd, Marguerite Hanna as Ashley, and Thailey Roberge as Claire.
The official synopsis for Reginald the Vampire reads:
“Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald Andres tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero who will have to navigate every kind of obstacle – the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own. A new show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, Reginald the Vampire proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself.”
